Job summary
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Low-Voltage Cable Installer Helper to assist experienced technicians with the installation, maintenance, and organization of low-voltage systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to start a career in the low-voltage or electrical trades. On-the-job training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pulling, routing, and securing low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, coax, fiber)
- Support installation of data & voice cabling, security cameras (CCTV), access control, fire alarm, and audio/visual systems
- Help mount equipment, racks, and cable pathways
- Label, terminate, and test cables under supervision
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all safety procedures and job site rules
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- No prior experience required — we are willing to train the right person
- Basic hand tool knowledge is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders
- Comfortable working in ceilings, crawl spaces, and construction environments
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)
